This little guy is calmly observing us while the previous scene unfolds. Every day for the past week he has dutifully taken up his post on this metal and glass garden ornament. At least it’s high enough off the ground that the cat can’t see him.

A baby armadillo catches the attention of our housecat.  She was curious but the thing moved too slow. Looks vaguely like a mouse though.  The little ‘dillo seemed oblivious to both the cat and to me.  I am not sure it could even see.
