blogrolling problem
Now what is going on? Some one has apparently hacked into my blogrolling account and replaced everthing with something called Laura's Blog. I am temporarily taking out the blogroll as a result.
UPDATE: It wasn't just me, apparently; it was everybody who uses blogrolling.com. Thanks to Jason for having a backup and for restoring it.
it appears that *everyone's* blogrolling lists have been affected. bleah.
oh, and you're welcome to have some of our houston rain ;) it's a bit soggy down here.
Posted by: erica at November 17, 2003 10:31 AMHi Bill,
Th same thing has happened to me and to Steve at OnMyMind. I've lost most of my blog links so I'm going to have to go looking for everyone again. This is really making me angry and I'd like to do something about the attacks on blogs with spamming. I'd like to band people together and try to brainstorm ideas for stopping spam, possibly comring up with unconventional ways to deal with it.

Posted by: Mary Lou at November 17, 2003 11:14 AMBill, it looks like all the links are back. Jason, of BlogRolling.com, said that a hacker messed up his files and he had to restore everything from a backup. About 3000 peopple e-mailed him about the problem. Man, I feel sorry for him! Especially because he was doing this for everyone for free!!!
Posted by: Miguel Arboleda at November 17, 2003 02:00 PMI use blogrolling.com, but didn't have that problem. I'm glad, since I'm not sure how recent my backup is.
