
Several gardens have radishes and onions ready to eat now. Tomatoes are starting to show up and squash and zucchini are ready to pull in a couple of cases.
Because the gardens are too small for corn and pumpkins it was decided to plant them in a common space all to themselves. The plot was improved by Clark Gardens employees and the students planted the seeds under Lee Ann’s direction.

Afterward we retired to the shade of some nearby mesquites and enjoyed hot dogs topped with some of Carol’s chili along with side dishes and desserts that had been brought for the occasion.
