I’m done with my Master Gardener classroom training.  There is still a year of hands-on work before I officially “graduate” though.

No more one-hour commutes to Weatherford twice a week.   Even that part was fun though.   Two of my neighbors on this road were in the class and we car-pooled.   So it has been a great opportunity to get to know them better.

We commuted because there is not a MG program in our own county.   This is essentially a rural county and the MG program is oriented toward towns and suburbs.  It’s changing here though.  The city gets closer every day.   There are three or four others I know of who have completed the program, people who got their training before moving here.   We are making plans to get together with the county agent soon to determine the future of the program in this county.
