rain

cenizo about to bloom

Look at all the tiny purple blooms about to open on the cenizo. Can this mean that it is going to rain? We did get a half-inch about two weeks back. Humidity is up a little. It would sure be nice if Dolly would help us out a little and bring some rain this way.

    For the first time in what seems like a long time, we’re having rain in my part of Kansas City. We certainly need it, but I don’t think it will last long. And I don’t think Dolly will push this far north.

    As much as I yelled about the rain this spring, we really need it up here too…no rain since July 3!! everything is tender dry.

    That’s a shrub that does well here in Phoenix. I love how they will bloom after you give them a good soak… and that you can ignore them for months at a time, even in summer. Great plant!
