jennifers garden

Here are a few more snaps I took in my friend’s garden this afternoon.  A previous owner once ran a small nursery on the premises, with a potting shed and a greenhouse. Round about are some very large surviving plants.

We had a half inch of rain earlier in the week and it refreshed the flowers.   There are some beautiful climbing roses there too but there were no blooms on those today.  The passion flower is growing into the lantana bush.

I am trying out a new photo gallery with this post. It works as a slide show or you can click on the thumbnails for larger images.  Let me know if the pictures load too slow for you or if there are other problems.  I can make some changes in the settings.  Or I wonder if the pictures don’t just look better embedded in the post?

I couldn’t get the slide show or individual photos to finish loading. Perhaps I am too impatient Oh, there they are—it does take quite a while but the timing is perfect and the pictures are beautiful.

Nice photos the passion flower is lovely. How interesting to move into a former nursery spot…I like embedded photos…there is one less step!

I love these new photo slideshows. Yours seem to change pretty slowly for someone as impatient as I am though.

    Where is your blog header?

I prefer the embedded photos too I think. But I may use this once in a while. I discovered it works better if I resize the pictures manually before uploading them. They look better and load faster.

Robin: When I changed my theme I actually intended to put on a new blog header similar to the old one. But I got impatient and installed the rest of the new theme before I had the header designed. I am still working on it. But I don’t mind not having it.

I think I prefer the embedded photos. In the slideshow there’s no way for me to speed it up or stop it to linger on a particular view. It also takes a while to load for me.

  6. I PERSONALLY prefer them embedded in the post. I have a really SLOOOOW computer right now, and slide shows just take forever.
