Either someone set a pet loose or it somehow immigrated this far north. I think if I encountered one unexpectedly, I would jump out of my skin. They are a piece of work. I bought a big ol' stuffed/taxidermied armadillo for my best friend. I got it when I lived in Corpus. She still has it on her fireplace hearth. Named it Wanda Hickey.
