happy easter

Filed under: outside in the garden — 3/23/2008

My easter lilies don’t go by the liturgical calendar, I suppose. They are just popping up out of the ground. So instead I’ll post a picture of these irises which were “rescued” from an old churchyard a few years back

The weather has turned off rather cool and damp and I don’t want to work outside. I have several things to go into the ground. I brought home a persimmon and an Eve’s necklace from a nursery last week and then yesterday at a propagation workshop somebody gave me a Carolina buckthorn and a couple of beautyberries. And I also have a few goodies in the greenhouse that I brought home from that workshop.
