woods on a snowy evening

I took this little video with my digital camera. If you look closely, about 16 seconds in you can see a few deer running in the background.

Snow came down heavy for several hours, but then started to melt away. Temperatures are still above freezing now.

COOL!! Nice Bird sounds too. What are they?

‘fraid I am not very good at identifying birds by their sounds. There was at least one sound there that was mystifying to me while I was looking thru the viewfinder.

  2. As tough as it is to live in the snow, I’m from Ohio originally, I do love the way it looks, especially when it is coming down.

    Nice video!

snow always reminds me of a protective blanket over the earth.

  3. Beautiful to look at but a bit untimely!

The photos of 3 inches to half a foot of snow about 200 miles north of here left a chill in my heart. One of my roses is in full bloom, the daffodils are up, we’re eating salads from the vegetable garden, the redbud and Texas mountain laurels are heavy with flowers. Durn Texas weather.

Cold wind here and temperatures hovering around freezing. No snow in Austin.

hope you got your plants inside

Maybe videos just don’t run well on my computer, but I had to watch it three times to see those deer. And they didn’t look like deer, just fleeing shadows.

I would not have known them as deer either if I hadn’t got a better view while taking the picture. Too bad they didn’t follow directions - they were supposed to come in closer.

I’m not even going to try again for the deer on this little laptop! But I did enjoy hearing the chickadees fussing at you. :)
