It’s starting to snow. I’ll try to get a picture later. My internet is likely to go down any minute. We connect via satellite and rain, and especially snow or sleet, doesn’t play well with a satellite connection.
This is actually the second snow this week. A cold front blew in Sunday and we got 2 and half inches of rain and then a light snow Monday night just after sundown. Temperatures that night went down a little below freezing but didn’t do much damage to the flowering trees.
Although I had told you earlier I was going to be an election judge on Tuesday, something came up and and I was not able to do it after all. I was sure glad of that when I saw the snow start flying, because we are eight miles out of town and the election workers had to be there at 6 am.
There wasn’t much snow however and election day itself turned out clear and warm. I went in late and stayed for the caucus also, and wound up being selected as a delegate to the county convention later in the month. It was an interesting experience. We had 37 folks show up for the caucus at our precinct - 27 for Clinton and 10 for Obama, which was almost exactly the percentages for the election in this county. Only a handful had ever participated in a caucus before. We got to elect 6 delegates to the county convention. By the percentages that meant 4 for Clinton and 1 for Obama. We tossed a coin for the 6th delegate and the Clinton supporters won the toss. Those people go to the county and do the same procedure for sending delegates to the state convention, which is where the actual delegates get chosen. Crazy, huh.
Another cold front came in yesterday afternoon. The temperature outside now is 36, quite a bit different from last Friday when I snapped that picture of bees buzzing around those flowering trees. Crazy weather.

We were warned that today would be cold and miserable and so far it is a bit damp and not unpleasant. I built a fire expecting to stay inside and get caught up on my housework.
But snow! Yikes! I hope your cold front doesn’t make it all the way down here. I guess I’ll go outside now and bring in the plants (again.)
Oh, yes, the crazy weather. We have it here in OK too. I totally understand. Just when I get used to the warm breezes, the sunshine, the birds, we get hit with snow and ice. Hang in there. It will be hot soon.~~Dee
At least your tomatoes are toasty.
