A few pale peach iris opened on Sunday, joined on Monday by one of those heirloom white iris and one Amethyst iris from Pam. Unfortunately the opened yellow and Ice Follies daffodils couldn’t take the 92 degrees…shriveled and gone. A few later daffodils are still putting up buds.
You caught the delicate dark tracery on the purple iris petals so well, Bill!
I can just dream of seeing iris in bloom. They are a long way off here. What a beautiful and vibrant photograph. There’s nothing quite like daffodils to make the day seem brighter. I love the colours of this daffodil.
It has been enjoyable rambling through your blog archives.

Just unthinkable where I am right now. Amazing, but evidently true!

You’re north of me, but your iris and daffodil beat those in my garden. Very pretty.
