I’m getting into politics.

Yep, I’ve agreed to fill in as a precinct judge in the election next month. That would be the primary election which looks like it may still be undecided at that point, and there are some local issues also. A neighbor of mine usually does this but is going on vacation.

This is the kind of thing that happens when you live in the country. There are more hats than there are people out here, so everyone has to wear different hats at different times.

Something else I never went to as a city boy was fish fries at the local volunteer fire station. We had one of those on Saturday, and there was some of that local politickin’ going on.
