A fews months back I wrote about touring a native prairie restoration in Crawford. Now the owner of that prairie, Mike Williams, has been featured in a news video about a similar prairie restoration underway on the ranch owned by President Bush.

And this is as good a time as any to put in a word for the Native Prairie Association of Texas. NPAT assists landowners who wish to preserve their prairie by holding conservation easements. It also acquires and preserves property itself and provides educational resources to those who may want to restore prairie remnants themselves or who just want to learn about prairies.
