I’ve been going through one of my periodic bouts of wondering just what this blog is for.  All my posts recently have seemed hastily written and poorly thought out.  Which is not to imply that any of the previous ones were ever any better.

Summer is started to come on now and it is getting pretty hot to do much of anything anyway.  Even think.

Wow, Bill, that’s a nice picture.

I’ve noticed the ‘what is this thing’ other places, too.

  2. pablo:

Is that prickly pear in the background.

I think it’s Texas summer. I feel like that this time of year, too…especially up until yesterday afternoon because our A/C was broken. I started to feel much better when it was finally fixed but the contrast made going out into the garden seem very uninviting. To blah to blog.

(I’d miss you, if you stopped writing.)

  4. Bill:

Pablo: Oh, yes. That is prickly pear and coreopsis. Further back you can see a mesquite. Around here prickly pear, mesquite and juniper come up in any bare spot.

Oh Yeah! I feel your pain! I just wrote a whole post on LIFE GETTING IN THE WAY of my writing and thinking. THis too shall pass!

You know what I would like to see you write?

More little stories of the common and very nice country folk that now are your neighbors…folks that hang out at the local diner.

And, I love your barn photos! More old barns, please.

I’ve have a bit of the doldrums myself…

If you could have seen the heart pumping race Bill made out there w/bolt cutters to release one of his does that got hung in the fence..you would know they are VERY real.
Real enough to eat all my vegetables & rose buds !
