
I’ve moved this iris several times. In my old garden three years ago it bloomed on exactly the same day of the year, considering that that year was a leap year. That amazes me since I dug it up last July, packed it off a hundred miles west and left it sitting around in a hot shed for weeks before planting it in completely different soil.

Beautiful shade of blue. They usually tend to have some purple but this looks like the blue of the Himalayan poppy.
