again with the snow

img_7098.jpg

We had a little snow yesterday afternoon but the ground was wet and it didn’t stick. Overnight we got a light dusting, but it was almost melted off by noon today.

I missed a great photo shot this morning. I returned to my desk from the kitchen with a hot cup of tea and startled a deer with his nose up against my study window.  We both jumped about a foot in the air.

I thought the picture you did post was quite striking. It would have been fun to see the deer with its nose pressed against the glass.

What a gorgeous picture! I hope you don’t mind me setting is as my desktop wallpaper… I like to do that every couple of weeks when I come across a good gardening/outdoor photo. :)

Thanks for sharing the once in a lifetime incident with us.

Beautiful photo. The dark green offset by the almost black and white background is striking.

Now that’s an unusual sight. I wonder whose heart was pumping faster? Yours or the deer’s?
