christmas rosemary

We have a big artificial tree in the barn. But it’s stored behind and under a number of other boxes and unused furniture.

We could have struggled it out. But really we are not expecting a lot of guests out in our rural home and certainly no one is going to see it through the window.

So we decided to get a rosemary and decorate it this year. Unfortunately we don’t have a lot of miniature decorations yet.

When Christmas is over we will plant the rosemary and enjoy it for years to come.  We were planning on planting rosemary anyway.

  2. Did your wife raid her jewelry collection for the Rosemary? I could decorate a small plant with the single earrings left lying in a drawer after losing the other one of the pair.

What a clever idea and certainly a lot easier than trying to dig out the big one. We put our tree downstairs this year for the first time and even though I have the main floor looking festive and Christmasy, I do miss having some sort of a tree up here. One the size of the rosemary would be perfect.

Keep your eyes open for small ornaments. They are available, and they will look great on that kind of tree.

Fantastic idea, the rosemary. And smells so yummy as you work with it, too.

  5. It’s a Charlie Brown little tree! (Only fatter).

We used a live tiny pine tree last year. Planted it in our front yard and it has really grown.

This year we dug out the artifical one. Didn’t get out to buy one. We did decorate the little pine tree outside!
