an inconvenient truth

Filed under: nature and environment — 6/28/2006

I’ve had a few comments and emails asking me what’s up with the green banner on my front page. (If you subscribe to an RSS feed instead of actually visiting the site you may have missed the banner entirely). Ordinarily I don’t put advertisements on the blog but I think that this is worth it and I’m not getting paid for it.

An Inconvenient Truth is a documentary film about global warming that I believe everyone should see. It features Al Gore and yes, I know Al Gore can be boring, but he is not boring in this film.  He has something very important to say and he does a pretty good job of it in this film.  Go see it if you haven’t already.

It has not hit the silver screen in my town yet. Maybe it wont…But I do want to see it even though AL Gore is boring.

Kman and I plan on trying to see it this weekend.

    Just give me nightmares, though.

I noticed it right away, Bill, and was wondering how the heck you put that banner on your blog. We saw the documentary last week and it was not one bit boring, just very compelling.

Haven’t seen the film yet, but plan to. I’m glad you have the banner up.

I just got a chance to see the film last week, and if I can find a way to let climatecrisis.net through my firewall, I hope to get the banner up as well.

I found your blog through the Festival of Trees, and I have been enjoying it!

    Have a great weekend,
    JLB

Hi, it’s me again. I got through at climatecrisis.net, but I can’t find the banner code. Did you create that banner yourself? If not, could you point me to where I can find it?

    Many thanks,
    JLB

  7. Bill:

I did make the banner myself. I would be glad to send the image and the instructions for putting it on your page to anyone who wants it.
