ducher

I was surprised to see the Ducher has several buds and one fully opened blossom. It was so rainy this weekend that I did not get a chance to even get outside much less play in the garden. Even this afternoon it is rather soggy.

We already have lots of blooms on the Rouletti and the Mutabilis. We let the latter get out of control. It should have been cut back in the winter. The rains over the weekend beat it down so much that it was all bent over. However we may get another chance. There is a cool front coming in and even though it might not be a freeze, it could be in the low thirties.

I have really been enjoying the stories and the pictures of your Spring. Ours has taken a turn for the worse — snow tonight.

  2. Your ‘Ducher’ looks so happy. I didn’t cut mine back after the first bloom in January and now it looks a bit ragged. I love ‘Ducher’s’ citrusy scent. You aren’t in the area that got too much rain all at once, were you? We got a really nice soaking rain for a change.

My roses are just starting to bud, so I need to get out and prune them back. Been too cold to do it before now.

This photograph reminds me of someone really close to me….a Reverend named Blue who left this world a few years ago.

    It’s a beautiful image.

    Thank you.
