I hope to get back to more regular posting soon. I’ve had a number of distractions.

Computer problems for one. This laptop has always displayed some strange behavior since I bought it from Dell over two years ago. Every once in a while it just refuses to boot up. When I first called Dell support about the problem they advised that I disconnect the power cord and then remove the battery. Reinstalling them will usually fix the problem. But this week that little trick did not work. Finally I left it alone and it booted up the next day. I think my next PC may be an Apple.

Besides having a sick computer I haven’t been that well myself. I woke up in the middle of the night with an extreme pain in my side along with fever and nausea. By the time I got to the doctor in the morning most of the pain was gone. A kidney stone the doctor surmised. I am still experiencing some tenderness in the side but doing better.

Actually we’re both better now, so there should be more posting.
