rolling thunder

Flashing lights in the sky woke me in the middle of the night. Lightning way up in the clouds and rolling thunder. And then, rain! Drizzling rain that lasted all morning and into the early afternoon.

Do you know how long it’s been since we’ve had rain?

    Oh, I’m so happy for you! And a drizzle is actually a good way to get back into soil moisture. A downpour would have just washed off. I hope you get more rain soon. We just got snow again, actually are still getting it.

    The thunder woke me up to and I actually thought “What is THAT?” I had to wake up entirely before I recognized the sound of thunder and rain. It’s been that long. We got almost half an inch–slowly, so I think some soaked in.

    Yep. All us down here in Texas were singin in the rain.
