the hair brush
Tricia was working at her desk with Sapphire in her lap recently when the cat jumped down and returned a few minutes later with her hair brush in her mouth.
Sapphire loves to be brushed and she especially loves her new hair brush. She often carries it around with her and plays with it. If I get up at night I have to be careful where I step. More than once she has left it in the bedroom doorway.
But when she comes up and drops the hairbrush at your feet could anybody resist brushing her? Not me.
It is not really that good for brushing out loose fur. It has little round things on the end of each wire. But I guess it gives a good maasage.

Our cats love that brush, too, but we have to leave it up out of reach. The dogs think it’s a great chewybone. Sigh.

I’d rather have the cat leaving a brush in the bedroom doorway than some other things my cats have left there….

speaking of his princess…she is stretched out between my keyboard & PC right now. He didn’t mention that carrying the brush to me meant going accross the house & up the stairs with it. She is very smart & very determined. >^..^

I’m WIth Joel there, I dont know how many times I have gotten up in the middle of the night and stepped on a fresh hairball!! EWWWWWWW
She is soooooo pretty!! such a sweet looking kitty! Wasn’t she your MOM’s cat? I miss having a siamese cat in the house! Maybe my next kitty will be one.

Mary Lou: My Mom’s cat was Trudie and she died of liver cancer about a month after she came to live with us.
Sapphire has been with us over 8 years. We think she is a ragdoll. She has blue eyes and kind of siamese-like markings but she has longish fur. She was abandoned at a vet’s office where a friend of ours was working and we adopted her.

Awwwww…she is so sweet! I don’t know if my cats are as smart…but some of them do carry their toys from room to room. And Simon likes to carry collars in his mouth…the collars that he pulls off of my other cats!
I love reading about other people’s pets. Your Sapphire is a lovely girl!

I have 2 cats - my Pixie loves being groomed with the hair brush…………BigCat, on the other hand, won’t let me groom him at all………What amazing different personalaties cats have………
