average meme
According to a new book reviewed at NPR the average American:
• Eats peanut butter at least once a week
• Prefers smooth peanut butter over chunky
• Can name all Three Stooges
• Lives within a 20-minute drive of a Wal-Mart
• Eats at McDonald’s at least once a year
• Takes a shower for approximately 10.4 minutes a day
• Never sings in the shower
• Lives in a house, not an apartment or condominium
• Has a home valued between $100,000 and $300,000
• Has fired a gun
• Is between 5 feet and 6 feet tall
• Weighs 135 to 205 pounds
• Is between the ages of 18 and 53
• Believes gambling is an acceptable entertainment option
• Grew up within 50 miles of current home
I expect everybody is average in some way. I’m only average in about a third of the ways above myself. Two of them have to do with height and weight. I’ll let you guess the rest.
Does it count if you can name more than three stooges?

I fit about 10 of these - makes me way too average. How depressing! But in my defense the Walmart moved near me I didn’t move near it.

You might be able to make our nearest WalMart in 20 minutes. It is less than 10 miles away and pretty much a straight shot down one road. The speed limit on the road is 35 for those who pay attention to trivia. But there are five school zones and two major highway intersections to cross.

I’m fairly average. Naming more than three stooges might elevate you to above average *grin*!
November 2nd, 2005 @ 7:18 pm
I fit 7 of them so I guess I’m below average. Okay, wiseguy, who are the superfluous stooges? Shemp or something like that, isn’t it?
November 3rd, 2005 @ 12:28 pm
Larry, Curly & Moe of course. But also Shemp, Joe and Curly Joe. I don’t remember seeing much of the last two, myself.
