time of troubles

Curioser and curioser. This morning we discovered that when we call out from home the call ID’s as someone else. And we are receiving phone calls for that person. We recognize the name - it’s our neighbor down the road. Weird.

Last night Tricia took the truck to run some errands. She stopped at the grocery and when she got ready to leave the truck would not start. I drove over to look at it and tried jump-starting it. Nothing, the engine did not even try to turn over. So we called to have it towed.

Being a little superstitious, Tricia says that troubles come in threes. We will see what’s next.

Sounds like the problem is the POTS. If they are any bit as arrogant as the provider up here, it will be years before they fix it.

    You have my sympathy.

You must be with SBC?? I had this problem being in rural area..and it was the lines, somehow the neighbor’s (more than one) lines were crossed with mine…and it has happened more than once…I just happened to come and pick up the phone when one neighbor was calling to complain, you might say, we had a conference call..Unfortunately SBC had caused this…and our lines are old and somehow they do not think it would be cost effective to replace them…’bout right! If I decided it would not be cost effective to pay my bill, I wonder what that would get me? Hope you get it fixed soon…I was missing my calls as they were going elsewhere..
