summer garden update

Filed under: outside in the garden — 7/23/2005

The rain and cool weather - low 90’s - last week revived the garden just a little while we were out of town. We arrived back from Kansas to see lots of color on the salvias, lantanas and the zexmenia. The anisacanthus out back is aflame and the hummingbirds are visiting it regularly.

Also the Amaryllis belladona has just opened its blooms, a little earlier than last year but not as prolific.
