Contrary to conventional wisdom, researchers at Cornell University in a 22-year farm study have found organic farming produces the same yields of corn and soybeans as does conventional farming—and does so using 30-percent less energy, less water and no pesticides.
I’ve been a cheerleader for organic for years in home gardens. But when critics claimed that you couldn’t feed the world with organics, I couldn’t do anything but keep quiet. No more.

It sure does cost a pretty penny in Safeway though but it’s so worth it.

Alas, as so pointed out by Leslie, money talks and to hell with the environment when Mighty Mega Super Farms can squeeze one more dime out of a rutabaga.
