Here is the armadillo from under the deck. Not the best shot. Maybe I can get him to face the camera next time.

Oh, he’s so cute!
Unfortunately, I guess these guys are a pest after all — found this.
Sigh, I still like them.
I think I’ll keep him. Turns out he is a relative of the anteater and likes fire ants (and termites!)
Still it might be nicer if he made his home a little further away from my own. Chances are he’s thinking the same thing about me.
Are they a pest? Will they hurt anything under there? scare the cats? they are kinda cute…
I see them from time to time here. Those and raccoons. Good shot.
Wow, he’s a big one! (Or at least he looks pretty big in the photo). They’re such odd-looking little armored tanks.
We don’t get those around these parts. Wish we did. The cats would love chasing them.
How big is he?
Hmmm. This one was about 30 inches from nose to tail. Bigger than most cats. And he moves rather slow so I don’t think he would interest a cat.
He reminds me of a comedian in a suit of armor. Clumsy and slow, thrashing around making a lot of noise.
Our cats give a wide berth to possums but pretty much treat raccoons as if they were furniture. I think they would keep an eye on this guy but I doubt very seriously if they would try to play with it.
