Sounds like you're describing my garden. A friend dropped by unexpectedly this evening and I took her out back to get some daffodil bulbs I saved her. The larkspur and other wildflowers are peaking. The roses and irises look great. But the weeds! I was appalled to see the yard through someone else's eyes. Weeds in the paths. In the lawn. In the beds. I think I got an upper hand on the bedstraw this year...but the cranesbill is everywhere. And all sorts of grasses I don't want are either seeding or creeping wildly.
