Our warm spell was brief. It’s colder again and rainy, although well above freezing at night. We needed the rain but I would appreciate it if the sun came out for the weekend.
Tricia has been out of town visiting her Dad but she will be back tomorrow. Meanwhile I am having to take care of the cats on my own.

Bachelor, eh? I should go away for a day or two and give Carl a chance to spend some time alone. I don’t think he’s ever been bored a day in his life.
I paid a short visit to my back yard yesterday which I haven’t been able to do in a long while due to snow cover. Well, the snow’s completely gone and my arid desert bed is looking fantastic. I can’t believe how well it survives our frigid winters. Unfortunately, some of my plants are starting to grow, having been fooled by this respite from winter. Those tender little shoots and buds will likely freeze soon enough.
Thank you. I always look forward to your rosemary.
Man Your Rosemary looks so much healthier than mine does. Mine is barely hanging on. I think it needs a bigger pot.
I just left a nursery that was selling rosemary in bloom. It was pretty, but I didn’t buy it. Seeing your rosemary is causing me to reconsider my decision.
I love the intense blue of your rosemary blooms; mine never achieved that intensity, but mine hasn’t bloomed in several years, and looks kind of seedy. On the “bigger pot” comment above, rosemary in north central Texas does well in the ground and survives without protection down to at least 17 degrees. I do think Rosemary gets root bound in pots and is hard to water.

I was out of town when my husband put the deck pots away this fall. Most were empty but he also took the one with the single rosemary plant in it and smothered it in plastic to protect it from the freeze. I wonder what I’ll find when I unwrap it in a few weeks?
