The bad weather has persisted. More rain and high wind. The home of our friends was struck by lightning and the chimney was destroyed. This weekend the tree men were busy trimming and removing damaged trees all over the neighborhood. Last night hail and then this.

How scary that their home was hit with destruction left behind.
My poor double-flowering plum is drowning in several inches of standing rainwater. The ground is saturated but there’s no sign of the rain abating. We’re certainly luck though not to have the lightning that you guys were getting.
We even had some thunder last night! Saturday it poured like hell! yesterday was scattered sun, and today it looks stormy again, and cold. June is always a wet month. then JULY AUG and SEPT are our hottest.
