THats perfectly fine, as I use it a lot in my cooking. Jams, Jellies, Crust for my Rib roasts, I just make sure it stays in the back yard. I had been told it spreads quickly and took over. I use it for mojitos though - although mint juleps sound mighty tasty too! That is why I grow my spearmint in a container!
