Yesterday I was basking in the sunlight and photographing the bees around the quince blossoms. Tonight I am shivering in a stiff wind. By morning it is expected to be in the mid-twenties here. There is even a rumor of snow.
This time of year Texas is a land of extremes. There is an old saying, “If you don’t like the weather, just wait till tomorrow.”
But at least we do have some nice days this time of year. And I feel especially fortunate when one of them falls on a weekend like it did yesterday.

If you don’t like the weather, just wait till tomorrow.” I think a good part of the country owns that weather saying. Around here, we say “just wait an hour,” but it’s really only applicable in spring, which is, harumph, months away in these parts.
We say if you can’t see Mt Bakerit’s raining, if you CAN see Mt. Baker it’s GOnna rain.
Just the thought of those temperatures make me shiver. And it isn’t so good here. We may not be having freezing temperatures, but there have been a few nights when I have had to turn the heater on.
